It is with great sadness that the PSA family reports the passing away of one of the company’s founder members, Dumisani Mbanjwa, who was a well-known workers’ rights activist.
In the earlier part of his life he was active in the leadership of the Metal & Allied Workers’ Union (MAWU) and later in the giant Union of Metal Workers of South Africa (NUMSA) which is affiliated to COSATU. In the 1980’s he completed a Diploma at Ruskin College in Oxford and a Master’s degree in Labour Relations at the University of Warwick.
In 1996, he and longtime friend Geoff Schreiner started a new consulting company –PSA. He remained a director in the company until his retirement in 2006.
Dumisani was a family man, an ANC comrade, a community leader, a networker, an avid reader, a keen golfer, a great jazz enthusiast.
For us at PSA , he was a truly valued colleague for whom we had the greatest respect and love and he will be long remembered.
