Results
The impact of the programme will be established once the ANA and NSC results become available in 2014/5. There is in principle an agreement with the department to extend the programme in the 2014/5 financial year.

The NSC results of the PMDP schools improved by an average of 6.7%, compared to a prior drop of 0.4%. Unfortunately, ANA results could not be compared to the same period.

Majority of schools improved on learner and teacher attendance as well as curriculum coverage tracking practice.

The province has subsequently commissioned a rollout to 320 across all 4 districts from 2011.

“What I appreciated about the programme is that it is more practical. It wants to ensure that practical application is learnt. That is what makes it different.”
