“The SMT Fundamentals of Performance Module has had a positive impact….the schools managed to evaluate their own performance in a structured and detailed manner. They identified their strengths and weaknesses and then decided on the actions to address their shortcomings.  These they integrated into their SIP’s.  The SIPs for 2018 are therefore much more focused and specific and there is a shift away from completing these for compliance purposes and towards using these as a means for improvement.”

Lorraine Goba -  Bohlabela District Director
